9-11-02 Clock Dedication

At 8:48 a.m. on September 11, 2002, a Victorian-style community clock was dedicated on the southwest corner of the Dawson County Courthouse square. The street clock stands 18 feet tall with approximate 4 feet tall faces. Each of the four faces are illuminated at night. Lexington Middle School students raised $8,404 of the nearly $23,000 cost. The clock pays tribute to those who died as a result of the terrorist attacks in 2001.
